Amuna Lawan Ali
FounderAmmuna Lawan Ali, a retired Public Servant from Borno State, served at all three tiers of government and retired as a Federal Permanent Secretary in December 2009. She has held various positions of leadership, including Nigeria's representative on international boards, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the African Women Entrepreneurship Programme (AWEP) and Patron for Women in Energy Network Nigeria (WIEN).In addition she serves as independent non-executive director (INED) on the board of some corporate organizations. Awarded the National Honour of "Officer of the Order of the Niger" (OON) in 2004, she continues to contribute actively to national development while balancing family life with her spouse, children, and grandchildren
Musa A Adamu
MemberMusa A. Adamu is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in academia, having served as an assistant lecturer at the University of Maiduguri, alongside a successful career in law, including representing notable organizations, and a dedication to community service, particularly in advocating for education and equal opportunity.
Rafatu AbdulHamid
MemberRafatu Abdul Hamid is a professor of Islamic Studies with the University of Abuja, Faculty of Arts, Department of Islamic Studies. She is also the Program Coordinator at the Center for Gender Security Studies and Youth Advancement, University of Abuja. She was born in Jos, Plateau State. She obtained her B.A. (Second Class Upper Division), M.A. and Ph.D. all in Islamic Studies from University of Jos. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the same University of Jos. She is a member of different intellectual Associations which include; the Nigerian Associations of Teachers of Arabic and Islamic studies (NATAIS); Member International Research and Development Institute (IRDI), Member Nigerian Association for the Study of Religions, Member Society for Research & Academic Excellence, Member University Scholars in Religions (USREL). She is Deputy President National Associations of Female Teachers of Arabic and Islamic studies(NAFTAIS). She won a post-doctoral Fellowship award with the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) African Humanities Program(AHP). Her area of interest is Islam and Gender Studies. She is well published both nationally and internationally. She supervised and graduated many students. She presented papers in many conferences and intellectual gatherings including the International Seminar on Women Ulama IAIN CIREBON West Java, Indonesia. She is also a member of so many women and Humanitarian Organizations.
Mr. Shekarau D. Omar
MemberMr. Shekarau D. Omar obtained a 2nd Class Upper Division (B.Ed.) Honors Degree (1985) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also obtained two Masters’ Degrees in Educational Administration (M.Ed., 1991) and International Law and Diplomacy (MILD, 1992) from the University of Lagos. He is a consummate professional with over 30 years’ experience, having previously served in the Military, University, Banking and Telecommunications Sectors before joining BOI Ltd in 2005 as a Senior Manager/Head of Human Resources. He rose through the ranks to become a General Manager in 2014. He was the General Manager (Management Services) and later General Manager (SME-North) between 2014 and 2018. He was subsequently appointed as the General Manager (Large Enterprises) in December 2018 and was elevated as the Executive Director, Small and Medium Enterprises in March 2019. He is a Licensed Human Resource Professional, a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), a member of the Chartered Institute of Administration of Nigeria and an Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). Mr. Omar has attended several human resources and personnel management, telecommunications, banking and leadership training programmes throughout his career, both locally and abroad, including courses at the Galilee Institute of Management, Israel, the Institute of International Finance, United Kingdom and the Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC), Nigeria.
Sani Mohammed
MemberSani Mohammed is the Chairman of the Katampe Muslim Community Association. A retired U.S. Government employee, Mr. Mohammed was a Senior Foreign Service National in the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Abuja. He served as a Strategic Communications/Information Specialist for over 27 years, and currently works for the United States Agency for Global Media as an Independent Contractor/Nigeria Marketing Representative. Mohammed have backgrounds in broadcast journalism, strategic communications and economics, studied mass communications at the Bayero University Kano, Nigeria Institute of Journalism, the Korea Broadcasting and Research Institute, and the U. S. Foreign Service Institute, served a two-year term as Vice President of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (1991/1992), and worked as a television broadcaster at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) for 15 years before joining the United States Information Agency (USIA) in 1992. Mohammed is a recipient of the U.S. Secretary of State’s Career Achievement Award (2019), and 3 U. S. Department of State’s Superior Honors Awards, 1999, 2000, 2003. He also has post-graduate qualifications and experiences in Business Administration and Management. Mr. Mohammed is married and has grandchildren.
